Pag-IBIG Members May Withdraw Savings After 15 Years

Pag-IBIG Fund members who have completed 15 years of continuous membership and 180 continuous monthly savings may qualify to withdraw their accumulated savings, including employer contributions and earned dividends.

The benefit, known as Optional Withdrawal of Pag-IBIG Savings, allows eligible members to claim their money before reaching the usual 20-year membership maturity.

However, completing 180 monthly contributions does not automatically guarantee approval, as other eligibility conditions apply.

Who Can Withdraw Pag-IBIG Savings After 15 Years?

Under Republic Act No. 9679 and Pag-IBIG Fund’s membership guidelines, the optional withdrawal benefit is available to qualified members after 15 years of continuous membership.

The option applies to members covered by the 15-year withdrawal provision, including those who joined after the law took effect.

Members must have completed 180 continuous monthly savings and meet the Fund’s other conditions, including restrictions involving outstanding housing loans.

The optional withdrawal privilege can only be exercised once during the membership term.

Members unsure about their contribution history can check their records through Virtual Pag-IBIG before filing a claim.

Members Can Receive Contributions and Earned Dividends

The amount eligible members may claim is based on their Total Accumulated Value (TAV).

This includes:

  • The member’s personal Pag-IBIG contributions.
  • The employer’s counterpart contributions, if applicable.
  • Dividends earned on the accumulated savings.

Pag-IBIG also allows eligible members to request a partial withdrawal instead of claiming their entire available savings.

Any remaining balance, together with future contributions, will be released when the member later qualifies for membership termination benefits.

Members can request their Pag-IBIG Member’s Statement of Accumulated Value to review their recorded savings and dividends.

Documents Needed to Claim the Savings

Pag-IBIG Fund’s official checklist identifies the following requirements for membership maturity and optional withdrawal claims:

  • Accomplished Application for Provident Benefits Claim (HQP-PFF-285).
  • Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card, Loyalty Card Plus, or an acceptable valid ID.
  • Selfie photograph showing the identification card, when required under the applicable filing procedure.

Additional documents may be requested depending on the member’s records and circumstances.

Members should verify the latest requirements before visiting a branch.

How to Apply for the 15-Year Withdrawal

Eligible members may follow these steps:

  1. Review contribution records. Confirm the membership period and monthly savings through Virtual Pag-IBIG or the Fund’s member services.
  2. Prepare the claim form. Download the Application for Provident Benefits Claim from the official Pag-IBIG website.
  3. Submit the requirements. Visit a Pag-IBIG branch or confirm whether the appropriate claim submission service is available remotely.
  4. Wait for verification. Pag-IBIG will evaluate the membership record, eligibility, and any outstanding obligations before approving the claim.

Approved proceeds may be released through an accepted bank or disbursement account, subject to the Fund’s current procedures.

What Members Should Know Before Applying

The 15-year optional withdrawal is an established Pag-IBIG benefit, not a newly announced cash assistance program.

Members should not assume that reaching 180 recorded contributions automatically makes their money available for immediate release.

Before applying, they should verify their membership history, check for outstanding loans, and confirm their eligibility directly with Pag-IBIG Fund.

The official application form and requirements are available through www.pagibigfund.gov.ph.
