The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) extended much-needed relief to families affected by recent storms and flooding in Quezon City’s 4th District through a distribution activity held at the Christ the King Seminary Basketball Covered Court along E. Rodriguez Avenue, according to this Bilyonaryo report.
Leading the initiative was PCSO Director Jennifer Liongson-Guevara, joined by Quezon City 4th District Representative Jesus Manuel Angel “Bong” Suntay, a former PCSO director, along with Councilor Atty. Miguel “Migs” Suntay and Ma. Aurora “Marra” Suntay. Together, they personally handed out essential aid to residents whose homes and livelihoods were disrupted by severe weather in the area.

Relief Goods for Affected Families
A total of 750 ChariTimba packs and 750 evacuation kits were distributed to flood-hit households. Each ChariTimba pack contained basic food items, including canned goods, instant noodles, coffee, and rice—providing immediate sustenance to families as they recover.
Meanwhile, the evacuation kits included mosquito nets, pillows, blankets, slippers, flashlights, and other essential items. These supplies were designed to help displaced residents, many of whom had to leave their homes and seek shelter during the floods, as they rebuild and regain a sense of normalcy.
Part of PCSO’s CSR Program
The activity is part of the PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which has consistently rolled out community-based assistance across the country. By delivering aid where it is needed most, PCSO highlights its role not only as a revenue-generating government agency but also as a partner in public service.
“PCSO, Hindi Umuurong sa Pagtulong!” the agency emphasized, underscoring its continuing commitment to helping Filipinos, particularly during times of crisis.
Public Officials’ Support
Representative Bong Suntay, who once served as a PCSO director, expressed gratitude to the agency for prioritizing his district. He noted that collaboration between national agencies and local leaders plays a vital role in ensuring residents receive timely assistance.
Councilor Migs Suntay also thanked PCSO, stressing the importance of coordinated relief efforts in addressing both immediate and long-term needs of flood-affected communities.
A Continuing Commitment
As extreme weather events and flooding remain a persistent challenge in many parts of the country, the PCSO vowed to continue supporting relief and rehabilitation efforts. The agency reaffirmed that it will maintain its dual mission: raising funds for health programs, medical assistance, and charities, while responding directly to the needs of communities in distress.
Through initiatives like the Quezon City distribution, PCSO demonstrates how government institutions can actively contribute to recovery and resilience. For the hundreds of families who lined up at Christ the King Seminary, the relief packs served not just as material support, but as a reminder that they are not alone in times of hardship.
