Many OFWs across the Middle East are now facing reduced income due to fewer work hours or sudden job disruptions. To help, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is offering $200 financial assistance (around Php 12,000) for affected workers.
This support is part of the government’s response to ongoing instability, which has impacted thousands of Filipino workers abroad. Preparing early will help you apply faster once the process opens in your location.

Qualifications
You may qualify for the financial assistance if your employment has been affected by the crisis. This includes:
- Job loss (temporary or permanent)
- Reduced salary or delayed income
- Shortened working hours
- Work disruptions
The program covers OFWs working in: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, and Iran.
Document Requirements
To apply, you need to prepare the following:
Basic Documents
- Passport copy
- Proof of employment (contract, visa, or labor card)
- Request for Assistance Form (to be provided by your MWO)
Proof of Impact (any of the following)
- Pay slip showing reduced salary
- Employer certification of reduced work hours
- Notice of termination
- Visa cancellation (if applicable)
If Documents Are Not Available
You may submit:
- Self-declaration (sariling salaysay)
- Certification from Filipino community organizations
These serve as alternative proof so your application can still proceed.

- Your nearest Migrant Workers Office (MWO)
