NEAP’s Specialized Training Program for Guidance Designates

The National Educators Academy of the Philippines led the Specialized Training Program for Guidance Designates in Cebu City from November 18-22, 2024 (Phase 1) and December 2-6, 2024 (Phase 2).

Registered Guidance Counselors attended the program, forming the NEAP Faculty on Guidance Services.

These NEAP Faculty members will be instrumental in empowering and equipping the country’s guidance designates.

They will provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes through Learning Resource Packages.

Guided by experts Ms. Michelle Amarilla-Climaco, RPm, MPsy, Dr. Sophia A. Mendoza, RGC, and Dr. Sheila Marie G. Hocson, RGC, this effort strengthens the quality of Guidance services and addresses common concerns in schools nationwide.

This program prepares Philippine educators to support the holistic development of learners.

 
Strengthening NEAP’s Capacity for Educators

NEAP Baguio Teachers’ Camp recently hosted Director Gerald R. Janda of the DBM-OPCCB for an important site visit.

The visit assessed the growing need for additional plantilla positions to expand NEAP’s operations and enhance its services.

NEAP officials showcased their high-tech training facilities, current staffing challenges, and the demand for better workforce support.

Director Janda acknowledged NEAP’s role in empowering teachers and committed to exploring solutions for staffing improvements.

This collaboration marks a promising step toward strengthening NEAP’s ability to deliver quality professional development for educators nationwide.
