- Must have good moral character as certified by the school.
- Must be non-scholar students in private pre-school, primary, and secondary schools, or not a current beneficiary of the Universal Access for Quality Tertiary Education Act or any scholarship program covering full tuition fees.
- Scholar students whose tuition fees and other enrollment-related fees are not fully covered by scholarship benefits and/or need funds to purchase electronic gadgets for online learning.
Loan Details
Loan Purpose
The loan can be used for:
- Tuition or enrollment-related fees.
- Purchase of electronic gadgets as educational aids for online distance learning.
Loanable Amount
- The maximum loan amount is the equivalent of one school year or two semesters, or PHP 150,000 per student, with a cap of PHP 300,000 per borrower.
- Included in the maximum loanable amount is up to PHP 50,000 per student for purchasing gadgets.
Loan Tenor
- Short-term loans are payable within one year via a 360-day promissory note.
- Term loans are payable up to a maximum of three years, including a one-year grace period on the principal.
Mode of Release
- Tuition or enrollment-related fees will be released in lump sums and credited directly to the school’s account.
- Funds for purchasing electronic gadgets will be credited directly to the borrower’s LANDBANK account.
Interest Rate
The interest rate is fixed at 5% per annum for the entire term of the loan.
Penalty for Loan Default
A penalty of 24% per annum will be applied in case of loan default.
Step-by-Step Application Procedure
Pre-Processing Requirements
For Parents, Guardians, Benefactors, or Co-Borrowers:
- Duly accomplished loan application form.
- Certificate of Employment or Contract of Employment.
- Copy of the latest three months’ pay slips.
- Latest BIR-filed Income Tax Return.
- For self-employed individuals, a copy of the Business Permit and the latest BIR-filed Income Tax Return.
- Valid government-issued ID.
- Proof of billing address and payment records from at least two utility or service companies.
For Students:
- Admission slip or enrollment form with student ID or proof of enrollment.
- Form 138 or a certified true copy of grades from the previous semester.
- Certificate of good moral character from the dean, guidance counselor, or authorized personnel from the school.
- Schedule of payment of school fees and other enrollment-related expenses certified by the registrar or authorized personnel of the educational institution.
Pre-Release Requirements
- Opening of a LANDBANK deposit account by the borrower.
- Schedule of payment of school fees and other enrollment-related fees for the current term certified by the registrar or authorized personnel of the institution.
- Authority for LANDBANK to receive copies of documents from the school related to the student’s records issued by the borrower.
- Consent to disclose credit information to other banks and financial institutions.
Post-Release Requirements
No more than five calendar days after completing enrollment:
- Photocopy of validated enrollment assessment form or registration form and teller-validated accomplished copy of the bills payment slip.
- Valid student ID issued by the institution.
- Official receipts as proof of payment of tuition fees and other enrollment-related school fees.
- Authority to debit account.
- Photocopy of official receipts for the purchase of electronic gadgets within five calendar days from the date of transaction.
Within two weeks from the end of the term or as soon as available:
- Certificate of completion from educational institutions or an equivalent document from a technical-vocational institution certified by the registrar or equivalent.
