Laguna Celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Provincial Government of Laguna, led by Governor Ramil Hernandez, and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office held a General Assembly and celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with a gift-giving event for 400 registered PWDs at Metro Central Mall in Barangay Labuin, Santa Cruz.

PWDs from various towns and cities in the province gathered to enjoy the festivities and receive small gifts from the government.

Atty. JM Carait delivered a congratulatory message on behalf of Governor Hernandez.

The PSWDO organized various games and raffles, adding to the joy of the PWDs’ special day.

 
Empowering Women Through Livelihood Assistance

On November 8, 2024, the PSWDO marked a milestone by distributing 8 sewing machines and foot spa materials to women’s associations in San Francisco.

This support aims to foster economic independence and community development among women.

Apayao PSWDO Invites PWDs to Enroll at AVRC

The Apayao Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) invites qualified Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to enroll at the Area-I Vocational and Rehabilitation Center (AVRC) in Dagupan City.

PWDs aged 18-59 with physical disabilities, visual impairments, or hearing impairments who pass the assessments are welcome to train at the AVRC.

The training, which lasts for one year, is free and includes a daily allowance of P300.

The AVRC offers various vocational courses, including Tailoring, Dressmaking, Massage Therapy, Cookery, Beauty Care, and more.

Apayao has already produced successful graduates who have started their own businesses or found employment in their fields.
