The Philippine government has initiated a program specifically designed to support Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.
Known as the Livelihood Development Assistance Program (LDAP), this program offers financial assistance and resources to help OFWs start or enhance small-scale businesses.
This program is aimed at fostering economic stability and self-reliance among returning OFWs and their families
Transitioning from Overseas Employment to Local Entrepreneurship
LDAP is designed to assist OFWs in transitioning from overseas employment to managing their own businesses in the Philippines.
This program provides financial grants that can be used as capital for ventures like sari-sari stores, small farms, or service-oriented enterprises.
In addition to financial aid, LDAP offers training in business management, financial literacy, and specific skills needed for successful entrepreneurship.
Who Can Avail of LDAP?
The program is generally open to returning OFWs and their immediate family members.
To be eligible, applicants must provide proof of overseas employment and submit a feasible business plan.
The application process includes submitting necessary documents, attending training sessions, and presenting a business proposal.
Understanding Undocumented OFWs
