How to Get Your DiskarTech-Powered MySSS Card

The Social Security System (SSS) has officially rolled out the MySSS Card, a dual-purpose government ID and debit card powered by RCBC’s DiskarTech platform. Launched this October, the card promises easier access to SSS services while doubling as a digital banking tool for everyday use.

The new MySSS Card replaces the old Unified Multi-Purpose ID (UMID) card and comes with enhanced security features such as an EMV chip, PhilSys (National ID) eVerify integration, and biometric authentication. It also serves as the default disbursement account for SSS benefits, loans, and pensions — eliminating the need for separate enrollment in the Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM), as shared in this PhilStar report.

Six Easy Steps to Apply

Applying for the MySSS Card can be completed online in six steps:

  1. Log in to the MySSS Portal – Select RCBC DiskarTech as your “Participating Financial Institution” to start your card application.
  2. Agree to Terms and Conditions – Authorize data sharing between SSS and RCBC DiskarTech to receive a transaction number.
  3. Download the DiskarTech App – Available on Google Play or the App Store, this app will let you manage your MySSS Card and banking features.
  4. Register as an ‘SSS Member’ – Choosing this option tailors the DiskarTech app to unlock services for SSS users.
  5. Enter Your Details – Provide your transaction number, mobile number, OTP, and valid eKYC-recognized government IDs.
  6. Avail the Card via DiskarTech – Once your account is set up, request for the physical MySSS Card through the app.

While waiting for the card’s delivery, users can already explore DiskarTech’s digital offerings.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the MySSS Card, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Be registered with PhilSys and have a PhilSys Number (PSN).
  • Have updated contact details in SSS records.
  • Must not have an existing UMID ATM/Pay Card enrolled in SSS.

  • Must be a Filipino citizen, at least 18 years old, and a non-U.S. person.

Moving Toward Digital Access

SSS officials said the launch of the MySSS Card is part of the agency’s broader digitalization push. By partnering with RCBC DiskarTech, the SSS expects to streamline benefit disbursements, cut transaction times, and provide members with access to modern financial tools.

The program will later expand to other banks, including Asia United Bank, China Bank, and UnionBank. For now, RCBC DiskarTech leads the rollout, giving members a single card that works as both their official SSS ID and a fully functional debit card.
