Important Dates to Remember
With the adjustments made in the school calendar for SY 2023-2024, DepEd set the following deadlines:
- The deadline for the creation of an OVAP account: June 2.
- The deadline for submission of documentary requirements and the application: June 4.
- The posting of results and the start of releasing the qualified voucher applicant (QVA) certificate: July 12.
- The release of QVA certificates will continue until Sept. 13, 2024.
Who Needs to Apply?
DepEd reminded that automatically qualified learners do not need to apply for a voucher.
The learners who are assured that they can avail of their vouchers for Grade 11 in SY 2024-2025 include:
- Those who completed/will complete Grade 10 in SY 2023-2024 in DepEd public schools.
- Learners who completed/will complete Grade 10 in SY 2023-2024 in private schools who are Education Service Contracting (ESC) grantees.
Who is Not Eligible?
Not all students are eligible for the SHS VP.
The following groups of learners are not eligible:
- Learners who graduated high school in 2015 or earlier.
- Incoming Grade 12 learners who were not part of the SHS VP in Grade 11.
- Non-Filipino learners.
Requirements for the Senior High School Voucher Program
To apply for the Senior High School Voucher Program, you will need the following documents:
- A recent 2×2 colored ID photo
- A notarized affidavit of family’s financial capacity
- Annex 1-A for minors
- Annex 1-B for applicants of legal age
- A signed parent consent form for voucher applicants below 18 years old at the time of the application
- Certificate of Financial Assistance received from the Junior High School, if applicable
- Certificate of Rating or Certificate of Completion for ALS A&E Test Passers
- Certificate of Rating for PEPT Passers
Step-by-Step Guide for the Senior High School Voucher Program Application
Step 1: Create an OVAP Account
- Visit https://ovap.peac.org.ph
- Follow the instructions to create an OVAP account.
- Ensure you use a working email address that you have access to.
Step 2: Confirm Your Email
- Wait for a confirmation email sent to your provided email address.
- Click on the link in the confirmation email to access OVAP as a registered user.
Step 3: Complete the Application Form
- Fill out the electronic Voucher Application Form (VAF-1) online.
- You can complete the form in parts but ensure to save changes section by section.
Step 4: Upload Required Documents
- Scan or take a picture of the required documents.
- Upload these documents in the OVAP system.
Step 5: Submit the Application
- Click the attestation button to submit.
- Note: Your application is not complete until it is attested.
Step 6: Check Status
- Regularly check the OVAP system to see the status of your application.
Step 7: Download the QVA Certificate
- Once your application is approved, download the Qualified Voucher Applicant (QVA) Certificate from OVAP.
- This certificate is required for voucher redemption.
- Submit your QVA Certificate to the Senior High School (SHS) where you decide to enroll as proof of your voucher entitlement.
